BBQ Challenge Kick Off Concert (Madison Avenue & Main Street)
7:00pm – 7:45pm Beau Thomas Band – Local favorite, Beau Thomas, brings his strong and soulful sound to Frisco’s Main Stage for what is always an unforgettable performance.
8:00pm – 9:30pm Big Sam’s Funky Nation– Known for a boisterous blend of funk, jazz, rock, and hip-hop, nothing short of seismic live “experiences,” and a whole lot of Southern charm, Big Sam’s Funky Nation might very well be The Big Easy’s best kept secret.
Join us as Frisco welcomes BBQers from around the country for a FREE event kick off concert. Alcoholic beverages (no BBQ until Friday) will be available for purchase.

Fireworks to celebrate the Colorado BBQ Challenge’s 25th birthday– Immediately following the last concert on Friday night, there will be a display of proximate (close to the ground fireworks), which will be best viewed from the area around the concert stage near the intersection of 1st Avenue and Main Street.

Message in a Bottle – In tribute to The Police, Message In A Bottle recreates the magic and original flavor of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland of yesteryear, while producing an energetic and fresh live show of today.

Firefighter/Sheriff Cook-Off
The 4th Annual Maximum Comfort/Lynx Kitchen Firefighter/Sheriff Cook-Off will feature Summit Fire & EMS, Red, White and Blue Fire Rescue and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. For the first time, law enforcement is entering the “cooking fray” to compete at the grills for a 1st place prize of $1,000 for their favorite charity or a 2nd place prize of $500 for their favorite charity. Jeffrey Bergeron will be doing the play by play announcing, while a distinguished panel of judges observes. The public will also have the opportunity to sample firefighter and sheriff’s office cuisine during this event.
